Day 1: Cloud Foundations and Core Services
Part I: Cloud Architecture Foundations
- Cloud architecture principles and non functional requirements (availability, scalability, security, performance)
- Cloud adoption models and trade offs: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and shared responsibility
- Azure architecture components: Regions, Resource Groups, and Resources
- Mission critical architecture and disaster recovery targets (RTO, RPO)
Part II: Core Cloud Services
- Storage and data foundations: Azure Table Storage and Azure Cosmos DB
- Compute and container platform: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry (ACR)
- Relational data and messaging: Azure SQL Database and Azure Service Bus
- Hands on practice for each service: configuration, deployment, and evaluation against availability, performance, security, and pricing criteria
- Infrastructure as Code using Bicep for reproducible environments
Day 2: Architecture Leadership and Clean Architecture
Part III: The Architect
- Definitions of software architecture and architecture viewpoints
- Software architect roles, responsibilities, and decision ownership
- Architecture specification and communication with technical and business stakeholders
- Practical path to becoming an effective software architect
Part IV: Managing Dependencies in Monoliths
- Clean Architecture principles: separation of concerns, dependency direction, and maintainability
- Selecting the right cloud services for monolithic modernization (pros and cons)
- Hands on lab: build and deploy a Clean Architecture solution in Azure using .NET
Day 3: Domain Driven and Distributed Architectures
Part V: DDD, CQRS, and Event Sourcing
- Domain Driven Design fundamentals: domain boundaries, ubiquitous language, and model driven design
- CQRS and Event Sourcing concepts for complex, evolving business domains
- Architecture patterns used in DDD based cloud solutions
- Hands on lab: apply Event Sourcing as a requirements driven design technique (from requirements to events, aggregates, and event flows)
Part VI: Microservices
- Microservices architecture principles and distributed system trade offs
- Selecting cloud services for microservices based solutions (pros and cons)
- Synchronous and asynchronous communication styles in microservices, including reliability patterns such as circuit breakers and resiliency strategies
- Testability in microservices and CI/CD: contract testing, integration testing boundaries, automated quality gates, and deployment confidence
- Hands on lab: build and deploy microservices in Azure using .NET
Vereisten
- Familiarity with an advanced programming language (C# or Java)
- Basic knowledge of the covered architecture styles
- Foundational experience with cloud services
- Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
